With everything going on with the banks, the banks are closing down their physician loan programs. We may barely get a home loan by the scruff of our neck. It is so hard for us to qualify for a typical mortgage because of our obscene debt to income ratio. That's WHY physician loans exist.
This is our first house to buy and now it looks like I'm going to have to go pick it out alone because Dr. Husband doesn't get any time off to help me go look. Arg!!! He is so freaking picky too. I am freaked to try to do this by myself.

ReplyDeleteActually, this post was from 2009. Since then several lenders have reinstated the physician mortgage. We got a physician mortgage this summer through SunTrust. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteSuntrust also has residency loans for physicians. They are a great bank for doctors.
